Go ahead and pretend
Uther watches the progression of his son’s relationship with Merlin. Arthur denies things, Uther can see proof that contradicts him.
Christmas with the Pendragons
Morgana brings her college friend Merlin to the Pendragons’s cabin in Camelot, Maine for the annual family Christmas vacation. Snow, Christmas trees, cookies, big sweaters, warm fires, and Merthur combine to bring slashy fluff to the season.
”Your son is a major arse.”
”Who is this?”
”This is Merlin Emrys. The one who dated your son for four years, and I just called you to inform that your son is an arse and I can’t believe I put up with him all that time. Is it only him or is it some Pendragon thing I wasn’t aware of?”
The Nurse’s Visitor
Written for the following kinkme_merlin prompt: Uther Pendragon, in an effort to boost his political image, funds a new wing at a children’s hospital. He sends Arthur through every month to make an appearance at the hospital, shake hands, kiss babies, and check to see that his obscenely large portrait in the hall is properly lit. On one such occasion, Arthur has a mishap and is mildly hurt (bump on the head, scrape, particularly bad hangnail, etc). Merlin is the nurse that helps to patch him up. Suddenly those monthly visits have a lot more appeal.
Crash Into Me
Uther has been trying to get Arthur to settle down for quite some time, so when he mentions that they will be having dinner with another young woman, Vivian, Arthur decides that enough is enough. He asks Merlin to pose as his boyfriend and awkwardness ensues. But somewhere down the line, fiction becomes fact.
Merlin is Arthur’s booty call. In the end, it turned out that was only the beginning, and what ensued was a story of the power of true love. It never gets old, although this story does make mention, many times, of antiques.
